Archangel Murders

Here’s a cool-sounding monster mash-up horror/comedy that is coming our way from merry ol’ England. Its joyous title is MARK MACREADY AND THE ARCHANGEL MURDERS. I already like the name, and the plot doesn’t sound half bad either. Take a look, governor:

The film is set in England and focuses on a branch of Manchester police that specializes in crimes of a paranormal nature. One of the branch’s officers (Mac) finds his wife Christina has been snatched up by a demon known as The Archangel Killer. Now, Mac and his assistant, Ed. must delve into the demonic underbelly of Greater Manchester to find his missing wife.

There’s some potential there, I think. It kind of sounds like the filmmakers have sort of a “British HELLBOY” thing going for them. Plus, the flick is also promising loads of gore, and just about every type of monster and demon you could possibly wish for! Yay! Check out a pic from the flick up top and below.

MARK MACREADY is being directed by Sean Candon who co-wrote the script with Ryan McDermott and Paul Feeney. Its wild cast is composed of Ryan McDermott as “Mac”, Paul Feeney, Lynsey Little, Charlotte Fellows, Paul Newberry, Al James, Kate Davies, Rachel Mowat, Elizabeth Schofield, Nathan Head, Johnny Swindells, Chris Lumb, and The Glitter Kittens as “The She-Snakes of Tanktarter”. Shooting began last August, however we don’t have a U.S. release date yet.
