AMUSEMENT is up there with ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE in that I just keep on writing about it with nary any actual sign of it. There was a trailer released for it about 30 years ago. We’re told it’s coming out, time and time again, only to have it pushed back, time and time again (in fact, I wrote about it one year ago today! How weird is that?). Well, seems like there’s a reason for all that – it should have been sent straight to DVD all along! (To be fair, its production company, Picturehouse, was gobbled up by Warner Bros. – never a good situation for a genre flick – but its been obvious for a while that there’s been little faith in this product. The damn thing began filming in 2006!)

AMUSEMENT, directed by John Simpson and written by Jake Wade Wall, will be sent to home video on JANUARY 20. It stars Katheryn Winncik, Jessica Lucas (picture below – yum) Tad Hilgenbrink, and Laura Breckinridge. Finally, you’ll be able to see what all the fuss wasn’t about.
