Clive Barker is a genius in the genre, there’s no denying that. The man has got one twisted mind on him that has spilled onto both novels and the screen. From HELLRAISER to CANDYMAN to MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN, we’ve got Mr. Barker to thank for a lot of the tales we’ve heard over the years.
And that’s not changing anytime soon. There’s countless movies in production based off Barker stories, one being BOOK OF BLOOD. Here’s a pretty simple synopsis for you all: A paranormal expert discovers a house that is at the intersection of so-called “highways” transporting souls in the afterlife. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that Mr. Barker’s interpretation of the paranormal is quite different than what we’re used to, and I’m eager to see what he’s got in store for us!
