Dowdle Bros. join M. Night

Boy the Dowdle Brothers have come a long way! It was only a year and a half ago I met them at the Tribeca Film Festival, where they were promoting their low-budget thriller THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES… Next thing you know, that film gets snatched up by MGM and Sony hires them to direct a remake of [REC}, a little movie called QUARANTINE. Super great guys they were then, and success hasn’t ruined them, because they still return my emails. Most of the time…

Anyway, they’re about to climb up another notch as word comes from Bloody Disgusting that the brothers have been hired to direct a film for M. Night Shyamalan! No details have been revealed about the plot or title, but we know it’s for the SIXTH SENSE director’s NIGHT CHRONICLES, which will be a series of films overseen by Shyamalan (is he becoming Roger Corman?).

Hopefully we’ll learn more about this project soon, because I’m damn intrigued already…

The lucky bros directed Dania Ramirez in QUARANTINE.
