Dust off your hiking boots and start saving some room in your belly because we are rapidly getting closer to another bloody backwoods helping of the WRONG TURN series! Want proof? Then simply cast your eyes up top at the first official image from WRONG TURN 3, which is in the middle of shooting. That appears to be star, Janet Montgomery, looking a bit uneasy and wearing the signature “horror movie heroine white tank top”. Hopefully more pics will begin surfacing soon.
I wasn’t a gigantic fan of the first WRONG TURN, but thoroughly enjoyed WRONG TURN 2. If we were going by the current pattern, I should freakin’ love the third one, but I’ll just wait to pass judgment till I actually see it. The plot does seem pretty interesting. Have a look:
Fonda and her friends go to the woods for a couple of days. Her friends are killed by the wild, now staple mutant killer, Three Finger, who of course cannibalizes them. She is left to fend for herself, but not for long. Meanwhile some dangerous prisoners are being transferred by Nate Wilson, a prison warden, on his last day before leaving to become a lawyer. During transport their truck is attacked by Three Finger and the prisoners escape.
Entrusted with handling the reins of part 3 is director Declan O’Brien. Good luck, sir, because part 2’s Joe Lynch is one tough act to follow. In addition to Montgomery, the rest of the cast includes Tom Frederic (THE OXFORD MURDERS), Mike Straub (THE HILLS RUN RED), Tamer Hassan (THE FERRYMAN), Gil Kolirin and Chucky Venice (both from RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL), and Mac McDonald (TRANSSIBERIAN). WRONG TURN 3 will release some time in 2009.
