Of all the things that make me feel old and out of touch with today’s kids (and I’m only 28 for f*ck’s sake!), THE HILLS is wayyyy up there. No, not as high on the list as say, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL or GUITAR HERO (playing air guitar is more appealing), but up there. Of course we’re a voyeuristic society that enjoys peering into the lives of the rich and dumb, but when a product so shameless and transparent as THE HILLS is part of the popular culture, well, moving into the forest to eat berries and ride bears doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. (It’s what I dream about every night. One day, I’ll have the courage…)
So anyway, one of the vapid tools featured on THE HILLS, Audrina Partridge, is going from acting like she’s not acting to actually portraying another person. Well, she’ll try anyway. She’s joining SORORITY ROW, Stewart Hendler’s remake of HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW, which already features Rumar Willis and Briana Evigan. Although her part hasn’t been specified, Partridge will most likely test the limits of her talents playing a snobby bitch who deserves an axe in the face. How she’ll accomplish this remains to be seen (or not).
Here’s what this half-chubby is about: When five sorority girls inadvertently cause the murder of one of their sisters in a prank gone wrong, they agree to keep the matter to themselves and never speak of it again, so they can get on with their lives. This proves easier said than done, when after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five of them and anyone who knows their secret…
