Scary Whisper

Here’s the word on the latest “ghost haunts a girl” flick that’ll soon be floating our way. This one’s called DEAD WHISPER and comes to us from writer Jennifer Buttell (right), who appeared in 2000’s THE CONVENT. The most noteworthy aspect about WHISPER is its reported budget: $3 million. That’s a pretty high figure for an indie script by a virtual unknown writer. Translation: this one may be pretty damn good. Here’s the plot:

A haunted, psychologically disturbed young woman must lay to rest the spirits of her traumatic past if she is ever to distinguish reality from nightmare…

Well, that doesn’t sound like anything too original, however I’m sure there must be some much deeper undertones. I’m still willing to keep my eye on it as production develops further. Speaking of which, production is set to begin on November 3rd just outside of New Orleans. Oley Sassone will be sitting in the director’s chair for this one. No word on a cast yet, but I’m guessing that will change very soon.

Does Kristen Bell haunt you?
