For those out there who are fans of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE, DEATH PROOF, WOLF CREEK, and HIGH TENSION, then I do believe I have a flick for you! This one’s called I WILL NEVER DIE ALONE and I’m digging its poster above. I’m also predicting some hardcore shit from this puppy. First of all, it’s a foreign flick which usually means that pushing the envelope becomes much easier and even commonplace. Second, it’s coming to us from Adrián García Bogliano who helmed the extremely intense 36 STEPS and ROOMS FOR TOURISTS. Take a stab at the plot for this one:
I WILL NEVER DIE ALONE is a violent thriller set in the outback of remote La Plata region is a tough and pounding story of revenge for rape, mercilessly carried out by a group of women intent on pursuing their attackers to the bitter end.
Yeah, that definitely sounds like all four of the flicks I first compared it to. Wait till you check out the trailer below. I’m not saying it’s anything out of this world (most of the film is probably too graphic to reveal), but the first 20 or so seconds look just like DEATH PROOF. Hopefully there won’t be any 12-minute-long, single-shot scenes of girls having a boring discussion over breakfast.
ALONE stars Marisol Tur, Gimena Blesa, Magdalena De Santo, and Andrea Duarte and yes, they all appear to be hot. It will be released overseas this October. No word yet on when the U.S. of A. will get its hands on it.
