From Within poster

Wow, have you ever seen anything so beautiful? UK’s offcial Frightfest site has premiered a “poster”, I guess you could call it, for Phedon Papamichael’s FROM WITHIN, which will be playing at the film festival on August 24th… But what the hell are we looking at here?

Inexplicable deaths are plaguing the village of Grovetown. Fundamentalist fanatic Dylan blames the seeming suicides on dark forces. In particular outsider Aidan just arrived back in town after the suspicious fiery death of his mother whom the locals proclaimed a devil-worshipper. Soon Dylan’s girlfriend Lindsay has joined Aidan in trying to stop a curse not only threatening life but also uncovering hidden secrets.

I had a chance to check out the flick at the Tribeca Film Festival. Check out my review, where I – pretty accurately I think – call it a cross between a J-horror flick and an X-Files episode – HERE.
