Spears goes Faster! with QT?!

Hot off the dispiriting news that Eli Roth will most likely be portraying tough-guy Donny Donowitz in INGLORIOUS BASTARDS, it seems as though Quentin Tarantino is continuing his trend of casting people better suited to other professions as lead characters in his projects. British newspaper the Telegraph is reporting that the director has hired, or is close to hiring, Britney f*ckin Spears for his proposed remake of FASTER PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL! Yeah. Groan is right.

Spears would be playing psycho lesbian stripper “Varla”, the role made famous by Tura Satana (pictured above, right) in Russ Meyer’s 1965 cult classic. A few months ago, it was being reported that porn star Tera Patrick was on QT’s wishlist, which makes a lot more sense to me, seeing as she looks the part – and ISN’T Britney f*cking Spears… And yet, this move somehow doesn’t seem beneath Tarantino…

Of course, this is all rumor. Tarantino is busy at work on INGLORIOUS BASTARDS, and Britney is off doing whatever it is she does (something along the lines of neglecting her kids and eating a ham sandwich). This project might be something Quentin ends up Executive Producing, however, while the director’s chair is occupied by a Larry Bishop-type (the director of HELL RIDE certainly seems cut out for a PUSSYCAT remake, no?). Time will tell…

Who would YOU rather see as a lesbian stripper? THIS…

Or Tera…
