Pitt’s a Bastard

It was up in the air as to whether or not the Arrow in the Head crew was going to cover Quentin Tarantino’s WWII epic INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, but it’s now official: We sure as f*ck are! What better way to kick it off than with the news that Brad Pitt, he of “banging the hottest woman on Earth” fame, is almost-definitely playing one of the lead roles – that of Aldo Raine, leader of the titular “Basterds.” (Honestly, I still don’t know if Tarantino was spelling it that way in the script on purpose or not.)

Contrary to popular belief, this isn’t exactly THE lead role, as the story focuses on a few other characters just as much. One being the villain, Hans Landa, and I’m happy to report that it seems as though rumors of Leonardo DiCaprio being courted appear to be false. The character is a hardened Nazi, not exactly the role for a pretty boy. Not that I think he’s pretty. But you know what I mean… heh.. heh… (tugs shirt collar) Yeeesh…

In other news, it would seem as though Universal Pictures will be helping out the Weinstein boys with the dough. It won’t be cheap, considering the flick figures to be at least 2 1/2 hours long and spans various European locations. (Incidentally, Pitt spends a lot of time in France, so figures that he’d want to shoot a flick there.)

That’s right, he gets to hit that evveeeerrry night…
