Silent Jay, Deadly

Whoa! Jason Mewes just cut one! Actually what I’m trying to say is that Silent Bob’s bad-ass life-mate just scored himself the leading role in a new genre effort called… SILENT BUT DEADLY! And I must say, that title certainly doesn’t stink! I apologize for the bad pun. To make up for it, allow me to give you a description of Mewes’s character as well as the flick’s plot:

Mewes will be playing Thomas Capper, an unconventional, mysterious serial killer who doesn’t off typical immoral teens, but instead takes aim at the cesspool of sin on a Hollywood film set, by unleashing his own brand of retribution on the cast and crew.

Sounds kind of similar to SCREAM 3 and SLAUGHTER STUDIOS, but that ain’t necessarily a bad thing. Mr. Mewes has certainly proven himself a fine addition to horror with roles in FEAST and THE TRIPPER. Popular music video director, Stephen Scott, will be helming S.B.D for Michael Patrick Entertainment. Producer, Michael Patrick, had this to say:

“We are really excited about the caliber of talent we have lined up for this film. Stephen Scott has a distinct visual sensibility and energy that he brings to the set, and Jason Mewes possesses just the right blend of sensitive and sinister for the pivotal role of haunted loner Thomas Capper.”

Filming will being this August and shoot for 21 days on location in Chatham, Ontario.

Yes, Emily Mortimer was in SCREAM 3.
