This past February, Jared P. gave you all the scoop on the upcoming horror spoof STAN HELSING. The flick is from writer/director Bo Zenga who worked on the very first SCARY MOVIE (the only good one), which should bode well as a sign for STAN not sucking. There is also some more good news which we just heard today. The cast for the flick has been announced and wait till you see who’s playing the leading lady…
Drum roll please, or perhaps instead of beating a drum, we can pat some bongos… because Diora Baird (above) is STAN’s girl! That’s pretty interesting because my man Eric just announced the other day that Ms. Baird would also be appearing in the remake of NIGHT OF THE DEMONS. Having also starred in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING, this buxom beauty is shaping up to become one fine scream queen.
And who else will be joining Diora? Well, here’s the list: Kenan Thompson (SNAKES ON A PLANE), Ben Cotton (SCAR), Steve Howey as STAN, Tara Wilson, Ildiko Ferenczi (below), Marie Avgeropoulos, Desi Lydic, and Lara Babalola.
The plot for this one sounds like a blast as well. It’s in the same vein as MONSTER SQUAD. Check it: The story will take place on Halloween night, when a videostore clerk, Stan Helsing, must reluctantly save a town from the six most-feared monsters in cinematic history.
