Knowing trailer

I’ve just got to say that it seems like Nicolas Cage is becoming the Uwe Boll of the acting community. I just don’t understand how he keeps getting work. Sure he’s had his moments (RAISING ARIZONA, LEAVING LAS VEGAS) but those seem so far away. Now it seems like he actually gets worse with every performance. I watched NEXT a few nights ago and was shocked by how ridiculous Cage was (not to mention how incompetent the movie is). And the less said about his “acting” in THE WICKER MAN, the better. I just usually find myself thinking, “This guy is on the A-list?”

Which brings us to KNOWING which, while not technically a horror movie – I don’t think – looks like it might be pretty scary. Check out the trailer HERE and tell me that plane crash isn’t chilling… Whether or not the movie maintains any tension or realism remains to be seen, but it looks fairly compelling based on the teaser. As for Cage, well, he’s doing the same wide-eyed, dumbfounded thing he does in every movie, so I guess we’ll just have to live with him.

KNOWING, directed by Alex Proyas and also starring cutie Rose Byrne (below), hits theaters on March 20.
