Here we finally have a solid look at ASYLUM, the David R. Ellis directed thriller that kind’ve looks like HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL lite. In other words, RETURN TO THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL.
The story follows a group of freshman attending a summer orientation at their college, who discover that their dorm was once an notorious asylum. The men are confronted by tragic events in their past and become terrorized by an evil doctor that used to run and perform acts of torture on the patients in the asylum.
I’ve read that “politics” got in the way of this flick seeing an actual theatrical release – but I’ve also heard from people who have seen it something else got in the way: a big ball of SUCK!
Well, either way, you can find out on July 15, when it finally hits DVD.
