Landis wants Werewolf remake?

It’s redundant at this point for me – or anyone around here – to say that any kind of remake news is old, boring news. I can’t get angry, depressed, mildly interested – just overwhelmingly bored. Anyway, that’s my way of saying that AN AMERICAN WERWOLF IN LONDON will very likely get the remake treatment one of these days. Big surprise.

Apparently, John Landis owns the character rights and is actually down for the idea. The director issued a giddy “I would do it, sure!” to the HorrorHound crowd in Pittsburgh this past weekend.

It just seems to me that a remake might look a lot like AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN PARIS – unless handled properly. I doubt it would have the same nightmarish and downbeat ending, which is one of the original’s best sequences. I don’t know, I really have nothing else to say on the matter… What about you folks?
