Watch out all you WATCHMEN freaks ’cause we’ve got one helluva image for you! Cast your eyes above and have a look at the exclusive pic from Ain’t It Cool of The Minutemen! I’m sure that many already know who they are, but for those a little fuzzy on the subject, I’ll fill ya in:

In WATCHMEN, “The Minutemen” was the first TEAM of superheroes that formed in 1939, but disbanded in 1949. It’s a huge factor in the history of the WATCHMEN universe. The pic above features the classic Silk Spectre, Nite Owl, Captain Metropolis, Mothman, Silhouette, Comedian, Dollar Bill, and with the noose, Hooded Justice.

I can’t believe the last time we reported on WATCHMEN was almost three months ago. It’s time to get this highly anticipated “event” flick from 300 director, Zach Snyder, some major notice! I, for one, friggin’ love that pic of The Minutemen. It’s an ideal depiction of “the vintage superhero” and tells me that great care is being taken in making WATCHMEN a visually stunning masterwork. I hope I’m right! We’ll all find out when it opens on March 6, 2009.

Malin Akerman is one of the WATCHMEN. Too bad this can’t be her superhero costume.
