Hart’s Nine Dead

There’s a new indie horror currently in preproduction that’s starring former Nickelodeon star and current MILF, Melissa Joan Hart (above). It’s called NINE DEAD and while the plot does seem strikingly familiar to that of SAW II, I’m still pretty intrigued by it. I’m not sure why yet, but maybe I’ll know after I read through its synopsis again. Please, join me:

Communication is the key to the survival for nine strangers who have been kidnapped by a masked gunman and told that one of them will die every ten minutes until they discover how they are all connected. As the LAPD race to find the hidden location of the victims, the masked gunman makes sure the world watches so everyone will know who of the nine lives and who dies.

Oh yeah, now I remember. It’s like a sped-up version of SAW II on a grander scale with the gunman making sure that the world watches. All similarities aside, it sounds like there’s plenty of room for some great tension and suspense. I do hope the ex-Teenage Witch, Ms. Hart, has a powerful set of lungs. The flick is being directed by Chris Shadley who cut his teeth as a video assistant on the likes of CLOVERFIELD and MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN. NINE DEAD is looking to release some time in 2008. I’ll let you know more as I hear it.
