Another year rolls by, another line up for After Dark’s Horrorfest: 8 Films to Die For is announced. Will this year feature enough hits to be worthy of checking out all the flicks, or will it be in true Horrorfest fashion that one or two will rock, but the rest will suck balls? Let’s hope this year’s line up rocks the casbah!
After Dark Films announced today that the Lena Headey horror flick THE BROKEN has been picked up to join the Horrorfest, which already consists of PERKINS’ 14, FAITHLESS, and THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT 3 (!!!).
So what’s THE BROKEN all about? Check it: a successful radiologist played by Headey has her life spiral out of control when she sees the spitting image of herself driving down a London street. While attempting to uncover who the imposter could be, she stumbles into a terrifying mystery that her family and closest friends are somehow involved in, leaving her with no one she can trust.
Sounds like quite the mind-f*ck to me! I sense some serious identity issues mixed with intense paranoia and a touch of ‘trust no one’ moments to go around here, and I couldn’t be happier! Of course, it helps that Headey is a rock star and I’d pay to see her in just about anything, so it looks like this year’s Horrorfest may have a winner or two after all.
Stick around for more titles to be announced for this year’s 8 Films to Die For as we hear it!
