Just found out that a new independent horror flick scored itself a DVD distribution deal. It’s called THE MAN IN THE GARAGE and comes courtesy of writer/director/producer Robert Luke. It’s nice to see another “little guy” genre production earn its distributor dues. Plus, the flick has a nice, simplistic aura to it. Take a peak at its plot:
A micro-budget shocker about a couple who inheret a new home, but don’t know that their daughter has befriended a homicidal maniac living in their overstuffed garage. The wacko randomly attacks people in the neighborhood until the couple discover him and try to end his rampage.
You can check out the trailer below. Looks like some cheap fun; sort of a cross between HIDE AND SEEK and WHEN A STRANGER CALLS. I’m guessing GARAGE’s distribution success had to have been helped at least partially by the forthcoming release of this month’s THE STRANGERS. People are into home-invading psycho flicks.
THE MAN IN THE GARAGE stars Nathan Gray, Maggie Maye, Jasmine Serra, Sarah Herrick, and some guy simply named “Disco” (weird) as the MAN himself. The film will release from Ship to Shore Distribution on August 19th, 2008.
