A while ago, Ammon told you all that the official site for the horror flick MIDNIGHT MOVIE had just gone live. Not much was offered goodies-wise at the time, but… there’s plenty there now including an awesome new trailer!
First off, I just have to say that this friggin’ flick looks and sounds fantastic and is supported by a website that is just as sweet! If you’re a fan of horror and movies in general, you owe it to yourself to click here to check this shite out! It’s like a virtual tour through an old, vintage movie house! You’ll get to see cast pics and info, behind the scenes stuff, a picture gallery, downloads, and the latest trailer (which is screened inside the actual theater). And I have to say that the killer (above) looks bad-ass! Check out the ridiculously fun, full synopsis:
At a run down theater in a sleepy suburban town, a group of friends get together for a midnight screening of an early 1970s horror film. What they do not know is that the director/star of the film has something more in store for them than just a movie. Rumor says that he was killed in a psych ward massacre five years earlier, but the detective and doctor who witnessed the aftermath of the bloodbath suspect that he was at the heart of the slaughter and might not be dead. What none of them understand is that he has enshrined his soul into the film itself.
As the movie starts, the kids heckle the black-and-white movie, but are jolted when the movies gruesome killer butchers one of their friends on screen! They realize that it is not the prank that they had hoped it was as the killer from the film emerges into the theater to take them out one-by-one. Caught between the world of reality and the screens flickering shadows, these unsuspecting viewers confront their gruesome fate in the locked theater. Will they be able to overcome the supernatural killer and find their way out before they are pulled into the killers celluloid world?
Yes, it sounds kind of like LAST ACTION HERO… only WAY better! No offense to Arnold, but F that stupid flick! MIDNIGHT MOVIE is directed by Jack Messitt and stars Daniel Bonjour, Michael Swan, Arthur Roberts, Dinora Walcott, Rebekah Brandes (below), Mandel Maughan, Michael Schwartz, Kathryn Aagesen and Greg Cirulnick. It’s set to release some time in 2008.
