Here’s some good news coming from the set of BLOOD NIGHT: THE LEGEND OF MARY HATCHET. The flick, which I last told you about here, is about to wrap production according to Horror-movies.ca. In my opinion, this is really one to look out for, so hopefully it’ll be heading our way soon. Here’s a positive quote from someone who worked on the set:
”After starting pre-production on this sick slasher flick last August, production finally comes to a close tomorrow after a grueling week of re-shoots, flashbacks, and major FX insert shots. I have seen the first assembly of the film, and it really is something special. I have worked on a lot of horror films, and seen a whole helluva lot more, and this one really has something going for it.”
Pretty promising, huh? By now, I’m sure you guys know of my personal affinity for “slashers done right”. And suffice to say, BLOOD NIGHT appears to have all the ingredients to fulfill my sick needs as well as yours! Writer/director Frank Sabatella is a longtime fan of horror and has graciously loaded his film with heavy amounts of T & A and Grisly Gore!
The plot bleeds like this: A group of teenagers celebrating the anniversary of the death of a local axe murderer suddenly find themselves face to face with the realities of this haunting urban legend. It also stars Bill Moseley (DEVIL’S REJECTS) and HALLOWEEN-pro Danielle Harris (below)! I’ll definitely keep you updated as more info emerges.
