Gunn’s next move

So where the hell has James Gunn been lately? The masterful writer/director of the genre classic SLITHER has yet to come out with anything new since. I just don’t get it, considering how well-received that Elizabeth Banks-starring, unintentional NIGHT OF THE CREEPS homage was. Frankly, I really miss the guy.

So you could imagine my joy upon discovering that The Gunn does have something locked and loaded and, hopefully, heading our way soon. Although it isn’t necessarily a new horror flick, it is at least something from the guy to show that he is indeed still around and interested in bringing us some of his own special brand of entertainment. Here’s the deal: Xbox Live is currently working on original video content that will be available for download via the 360. Many TV shows and movies are currently out there, but the good news is that now James Gunn will be directing one of these original productions!

Apparently not much is know yet regarding the show’s plot, but it has been announced that casting has started, and it’s set to begin shooting in May. As for other details, the project is said to share the qualities of “Wonder Showzen” and “South Park”, and they’re looking to cast someone who “MUST LOOK GREAT IN BIKINI” (Elizabeth Banks anyone?). I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for any future news regarding Gunn and his Xbox Live!

I would cast Elizabeth Banks in ALL my movies.
