Stroup on Homecoming

With the crapfest that looks to be PROM NIGHT hitting theaters this Friday, STYD had a chance to chat with co-star Jessica Stroup. Since no one really seems to care all that much about PROM NIGHT, the interview quickly went to other projects–including HOMECOMING, starring THE O.C. hottie Mischa Barton! And yes, she actually stars in a flick titled PROM NIGHT and a flick called HOMECOMING…. what’s next, GRADUATION???

The last time we heard from HOMECOMING, we showed you the trailer, which looked half-way decent, but what Stroup really threw me for a loop:

It’s based on the movie Misery. Mischa Barton captures me…

Based on MISERY? Really? From this brief synopsis, you could’ve fooled me! A former small-town golden boy and his new girlfriend who visit his hometown. and discovers his high school sweetheart has developed an unhealthy obsession with him.

That pretty much sounds nothing like MISERY–then again, maybe the MISERY similarities kick in once Barton’s crazy ass captures Stroup and proceeds to torture her. Maybe. But other than torture, I can’t really see how the two films have anything to do with each other.

But what do I know? Stroup is the one who’s in the flick, not me, so she should know, right? To check out what else she had to say regarding HOMECOMING, including one nasty wound Barton inflicts on her, click HERE, and stick around for more on HOMECOMING as we hear it!
