With the unveiling of the new Jason just a few days ago, it should be no surprise that Variety is now reporting the first female in the upcoming FRIDAY THE 13TH “remake.” Ready for it?
Amanda Righetti is in final negotiations to play the female lead alongside Jared Padalecki, who has already been cast as the male lead of the flick. According to the ‘law of the slasher film,’ you can basically count on the entire cast getting slaughtered (including Paralecki) with Righetti being the only surviving victim as the credits begin to roll.
Some may remember her from THE RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, which hit DVD not too long ago; but others (and I’m not naming names here) may recall her as the wild and hot sister from THE O.C. So she’s the surviving victim, eh? Cool! While I wouldn’t mind seeing her die on-screen, if someone is gonna survive Jason they better be tough (and hot)… and she’s as tough (and as hot) as they get!
