Dead By Dawn trick

“Always check your Halloween candy for pins or razor blades,” my mother always used to warn me. “There are a lot of crazy people out there.” I’m sure your mom once told you something very similar. Well, that advice always stuck with me whenever I went trick-or-treating as a kid (and you can bet your ass I ALWAYS inspected all my candy before it went into my mouth).

Now it seems that mom’s cautionary tale is heading toward the big screen! Backwoods Entertainment has just released a synopsis as well as a cool animatic teaser for DEAD BY DAWN from director Rich Robinson (who made his horror debut with a subtle little slasher called MARCUS). DAWN’s central theme involves a psychopath who puts razors and poisons into Halloween candy to give out to kids. Here’s a look at the synopsis:

When murder befalls the small New England town of Juniper Falls, the citizens take justice into their own hands only to upset a malevolent force thirsty for blood and retribution.

And have a look at that fun animated teaser HERE.

What if THESE mean girls came trick-or-treating to YOUR door?
