Bloody Disgusting’s showing off some new pics from Alex Turner’s THE STONE HOUSE, which I last wrote about here. The war-themed horror film is Turner’s follow-up to DEAD BIRDS, which took place during the Civil War. This one is set in Afghanistan, telling the story of a group of soldiers who destroy an ancient statue, with dire results.

The flick, written by Simon Barrett, stars Shane West, Leonard Roberts, Aldis Hodge, Theo Rossi, and J.K. Simmons. According to IMDB, it has a scheduled release date of May 14, but we’ll wait and see if that’s truly accurate. All I know is I like the way this is looking (can’t argue with Mr. Hole in the Head down there), and hopefully we’ll get even more glimpses in the coming months.
