The Dirt info!

News of a bizarre, potentially very interesting short film has been popping up at various sites recently – so I dug in and found out the deal with THE DIRT. Directed by Simona and Claudio Simonetti (composer of most of Dario Argento’s films) and starring Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni (MOTHER OF TEARS), THE DIRT sports an interesting premise, to say the least.

A subtle mix of horror, thriller and drama, THE DIRT, centers on a married woman (Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni), a photographer, and her all-consuming wish to have a child.

During the course of the film, this woman develops a very morbid relationship with an unusual plant that grows in her living room, one that holds many secrets—but none as dark as the woman has herself.

Riiiiiiiight…

The short will have its world premiere in Rome on February 27 at an event dedicated to former “Goblin” Claudio Simonetti. Sorry folks, invitation only (they already told me mine was sure to get lost in the mail). I’d like to think THE DIRT will hit the web in its entirety at some point after that… I’m all about movies where hot chicks have morbid relationships with plants. No, really.
