Spiral poster

I just saw SPIRAL the other day, so this is very nice timing indeed. Coming from HATCHET director Adam Green (as well as HATCHET lead Joel David Moore), it was not at all what I was expecting, but it still revealed itself to be a tense, eerie experience. More Hitchcock, less FRIDAY THE 13th. I spoke extensively with Green, Moore, and co-star Zach Levi (now known as t.v.’s “Chuck”) about the film, and will have that interview on the site later this month.

For now, check out this poster, which is certainly creepy in its own right. The tagline “You can’t paint over your past” sounds cheesy but it’s actually pretty fitting, and you’ll see why when the flick gets a DVD and limited theatrical release in February.

A reclusive telemarketer, whose dysfunctional friendship with his boss is alleviated when a whimsical co-worker enters his life. But as he begins to sketch his new friend’s portrait, disturbing feelings from his past threaten to lead him down a path of destruction.

Amber Tamblyn – very good in this flick
