del Toro talks future

What better way to ring in the New Year than with Guillermo del Toro talking about the 8 million projects he’s got lined up. Seriously – when this strike ends, the movie’s are going to come pouring out of him like circus clowns. Will one of them be THE HOBBIT? Or the final HARRY POTTER? What about FRANKENSTEIN?!

Indeed, an adaptation of the Mary Shelley classic appears to be on del Toro’s radar, although like every other proposed picture on his slate, there’s no guarantee at all we’ll ever actually see the thing. Still, I do like the idea – the man could work wonders with the gothic horror tale… That said, I’m fully predicting he gets offered the Hobbit job, and accepts it.

Click it HERE to listen to the man vaguely talk about his ideas for that flick (a four-hour mini-series?), as well as a truly horrifying topic: his own “chocolate bar physique.” (shudder)
