If you equate the holidays with human flesh being melted off by the acid-blood of an outer space monster, then this is an exciting time for you. Of course, as we’ve told you about 2,937 times already, The Strause Brothers’ ALIENS VS. PREDATOR-REQUIEM comes out Christmas Day. BUT if you live in L.A. or N.Y. and want to celebrate the birth of Jebus by howling at a movie screen with hundreds of similarly ravenous sci-fi fans, you’re in luck! A press release sent out by Fox gives the good news that there will be special advance screenings beginning at 12:00 A.M. Christmas morning! Complete with presents! Read on for the deets!

This Christmas Eve, as millions around the globe raise their voices in praise at midnight masses, New York City and Los Angeles-based fans of the iconic Alien and Predator can experience a very different take on the ritual …at special Midnight Mass-acre showings of AVP-R.

There’ll be little peace – but much fan anticipation – at the two Midnight Mass-acre locations: Hollywood’s renowned Chinese Theatre and New York’s Regal Union Square Stadium 14. The first 100 diehards in line at each Midnight Mass-acre will get a special stocking stuffer – commemorative shirts emblazoned with “I Survived Midnight Mass-acre Christmas Eve 2007.”

Sure, you COULD spend the night with your loved ones, huddled near a fireplace feigning delight at the socks you’ve just received (“Great! I really needed new socks!”) – or you could check out the most highly anticipated alien slugfest hitting screens this holiday season. Is it really a choice..?
