Waxwork musical?!

It’s Monday, there seems to be a lot to get to today, but I guess I’d like to detour into “What the f*ck are you talking about?” territory for a bit, a place I know well, a place that never lets me down (except for when it hands me a sack full of lies). Over at Dread Central, Johnny Butane is dealing with a current Anthony Hickox obsession that has spilled on over to our site, which is fine by me because as I told y’all the other day, I have a soft spot the man.

The “what the f*ck?” news is this: Apparently, Hickox is having meetings about a WAXWORK musical with ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW producer Michael White. Now, while I personally can’t stand ROCKY HORROR, this doesn’t rub me the wrong way. I’m all for a funky title like WAXWORK getting a resurrection NOT via remake (although that possibility has been tossed around too). And let’s face it, it would be a special kind of wonderful if this musical became a mainstream hit.

Tell me this scene couldn’t use a little singing and dancing…
