Cusack talks Factory

We got word that John Cusack was dipping back into horror with THE FACTORY a few weeks ago, and other than the general premise and that Dark Castle was producing, we didn’t know a whole lot about what THE FACTORY has instore for us.

Cusack had a chance to briefly talk about THE FACTORY with STYD, and revealed a few tasty tidbits about what we can expect from this project. Check it: It’s more plotty and more Hitchcocky. Much more about what’s revealed when. It’s a little bit more clever. It’s not really ‘Silence of the Lambs’, but it’s more of a CSI kind of thing.

Cool beans! While I enjoy the grisly serial killer detective movies like SE7EN, I can also dig on shite like CSI when given the chance… especially if what’s being investigated is truly dark and f*cked up. From the sounds of it, THE FACTORY just may hit that criteria.

Not much else is known at this point, other than the story revolves around a detective whose daughter is kidnapped by a seriel killer, and the detective starts working ‘outside the law’ to find her and bring her back alive. Sounds f*ckin’ awesome to me!
