Boll’s Siege poster

Friday night I made my way to the theater and saw the amazing THE MIST on the big screen. It was awesome. On my way out, I was checking out the posters in the lobbey, and saw some of my current fav’s right now: AVP-R and the ‘revolutionary’ style RAMBO poster.

And then, by complete and utter surprise, I came across the poster for Uwe Boll’s latest ‘epic’ IN THE NAME OF THE KING: A DUNGEON SIEGE TALE! And today, here it is online! Coincidence? I think not…

The poster features Jason Statham (rightly so, as he’s one of the only reasons to check this out) looking gruff, with hotties Leelee Sobieski and Kristanna Loken lurking in the background. And then some knights and a sword and some moron swinging from a rope. Meh.

Where’s Burt Reynolds at? Where’s Ray Liotta, or even Ron Perlman? With the ridiculous star power this p.o.s. has, you’d figure they’d be pimping the shite out of every big name they have… but no. We get one big one, two small ones, and some battle action.

Least to say I wasn’t impressed… what do you think? Judging from this poster, you think Boll has a hit on his hands, or are we just awaiting the inevitable when it hits theaters and bombs? Strike some bullets below, check out a larger version HERE, and get ready for IN THE NAME OF THE KING in theaters everywhere January 11th.

Loken and Leelee together in one place?
Maybe it won’t be so bad afterall…
