The Official Site for Frank Miller’s Will Eisner’s THE SPIRIT has perked up, featuring an intro by Miller, a detailed synopsis and cast breakdown, and a fan forum where you can already start bitchin’ about the direction the flick is going in! (I kid, I kid…)
Apparently coming soon to the site is some even cooler stuff, like a production blog, videos, and sections called “character of the month,” and “anatomy of a scene,” which sounds especially promising.
Starring Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson, and a stable of uber-hotties that includes Eva Mendes, Scarlett Johansson, Jamie King, and Paz Vega, THE SPIRIT is the story of a killed policeman who returns from the dead to fight crime in “Central City” as The Spirit. His arch-nemisis is The Octopus (Jackson), who is determined to destroy the city, as well as achieve immortality. The Lionsgate film is scheduled to hit theaters in January of ’09.
