Count me among the many who have not yet seen MALEVOLENCE, but who have heard positive things (don’t count Arrow among that group – he’s seen it!).
Apparently it was cool enough to warrant a followup – make that a prequel – called BEREAVEMENT, and it has just snagged its first certified badass: Michael Biehn. (Yep, that’s him in the above pic, saying “I can kick in your face with my scowl.”)
The movie is apparently about Graham Sutter and the kidnapping and systematic torture of his protégé Martin Bristol. I’m guessing that will ring a bell for people who’ve checked out the first one. What’s interesting about that first entry is that it was always meant to be the second chapter in a trilogy. So we’ll be hearing about MALEVOLENCE 3 : MALEVOLENTOR soon enough.
BEREAVEMENT also stars Brett Rickaby, Chase Pechacek, Spencer List, Kathryn Meisle, and the one and only John Savage. Steven Mena returns behind the camera.
