Here’s a name for ya: Tinieblas Gonzalez. Not only is it unique (as is his look!) – it’s one that’s supposedly worth keeping an eye on, and we’re always about getting in on the ground floor with these innovative types!
According to Variety, he’s one of Spain’s best known genre filmmakers, even though his feature debut has yet to pop. Well, Filmax Intl. is taking care of that, having just bought the young man’s English-language first feature UNDERGROUND, which is about four young graffiti artists who decide to daub a new subway system. Pursued by security guards, they stumble upon a half human creature.
Gonzalez has directed various Gothic-horror shorts that have apparently impressed many over in Spain and UNDERGROUND is very much in the spirit of those shorts. It’s currently in post-production.
The cast includes Brendan Coughlin, Francia Raisa, Doug Haley and Deance Wyatt. We’ll keep you updated as more info (hopefully) comes in.
Spain’s greatest export…
