Exorcist remake? Please no…

First off, this is just a rumor – a rumor of the most toxic, blasphemous kind – but a rumor nonetheless, without any substantial info outside the word of IESB’s source… Let’s just get to it:

News out of this past weekend’s International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival at the Harkins Centerpoint Theate in Tempe – Linda Blair, there to introduce THE EXORCIST, hinted that a remake of the film is in the works…. and judging by the look on her face, she’s not happy about it!

I am sincerely hoping that in one or two days, I or one of my collegues will merrily be typing up an article quoting a Warner Bros. executive saying something along the lines of “What the f*ck – no one ’round here is talking that kinda shit, are you f*ckin’ kidding me?! I’ll sever off my own nutsack before I allow that to happen! Next person who even thinks of doing that is a dead man, you hear? A DEAD man!!”

A simple: “No, there are no immediate plans for an EXORCIST remake” will also do…

Additionally, if you were at this Tempe-based convention and heard the same thing as this scooper, please write in to me or someone else here and confirm or deny this lunacy.
