“My brisket!!”
A most unusual teaser for the Jessica Alba vehicle THE EYE has popped up over at Yahoo! It’s noteworthy because there’s no dialogue in it, and yet the film’s plot is pretty well layed out, almost like an American trailer for a foreign film. To be honest, what it really made me think was that they didn’t want to display Alba’s “acting.” Either way, it’s not bad.
THE EYE was directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud (Ils), but recent reshoots were covered by Patrick Lussier. It’s a remake of the 2002 Pang Bros. film of the same name, and tells the same story: a young blind woman receives an eye transplant that allows her to see into the supernatural world. Lots of ghostly scares follow. It’s scheduled to be released February 1.
