Dread Central has just gotten word that the planned BURROWERS web-prequel has received a title: RED EARTH.
According to Mr. Butane’s source, the story deals with “Indians and a dead deer” – certainly the ingredients from which all good web series are made (Okay okay, you can read a bit more about it HERE).
RED EARTH is the story that leads up to J.T. Petty’s THE BURROWERS – the story of a band of men who set out to find and recover a family of settlers that have mysteriously vanished from their home. They discover that Indians aren’t the cause, but something far more “burrowy.” (My word, but an accurate one I think.)
RED EARTH will run on FEARnet, not unlike the 30 DAYS OF NIGHT prequel, BLOOD TRAILS.
THE BURROWERS stars Doug Hutchison, Clancy Brown, William Mapother and Laura Leighton. It’s scheduled to be released sometime in 2008.
