Since I first saw it at Tribeca, I’ve been talking up MULBERRY STREET like a madman, getting reactions as varied as “Huh?” to “What?” When I describe it as an intelligent, poignant attack-of-the-rat-person movie, I receive looks of curiosity, tinged with just a dash of “what the f*ck are you talking about?” dubiousness…
Well I’m happy to say that no longer will I be alone in my tremendous appreciation for this nightmarish, startling flick (well, to be fair, most of the other horror sites dig on it too…) as it’s been tipped to be the third entry into After Dark’s HORRORFEST. Fangoria confirmed with an After Dark v.p. that MULBERRY STREET will follow THE DEATHS OF IAN STONE and NIGHTMARE MAN on their “8 Films to Die For” slate. (check out the Horrorfest website HERE.)
