Here it is kiddies – today begins what I’d like to think of as the official countdown to Halloween. “But Eric you stupid f*ckin mope,” you’re saying, “it’s only September 13th! In case you didn’t get the memo – Halloween STILL falls on October 31st!”
Ah, but maybe you’re not saying that, because if you’re like me, Halloween is the only thing the fall is good for, other than all the pretty dying leaves. If you’re like me (you must be, you’re here aren’t you?!) you love that kooky holiday with a bloody-thirsty vengeance. Similar to Christmas, it isn’t only about that one date – it’s about the weeks leading up to it, when we don’t have to feel like watching horror flicks around the clock is anything to hide from our family and friends…
And so it is that 30 DAYS OF NIGHT: BLOOD TRAILS kicks off its run on FEARnet today, which is as good as any reason to declare today the beginning of Halloween season. And if you don’t agree with me, hey that’s your business. Me, I’m already looking at fake cobwebs and cardboard ghosts to hang in my window.
(Keep an eye out for my interview with BLOOD TRAILS director Victor Garcia, which will hit the site very soon.)
