Dark gets Autonomous

announced this morning that After Dark Films is moving in a new direction… in taking on the other studios by storm. How, you ask? By launching a new film label entitled

Are we expect more horror coming out of this camp? Nope. After Dark does the horror, and this is their way to take on comedies, action flicks… and anything else that isn’t horror. As After Dark headman Courtney Solomon puts it: It’s the inverse of Miramax launching Dimension. It’s more like Dimension launching Miramax.

Hey, why not? If this propels them into something bigger and more competitive, reaching the Miramax/Dimension size and status, then hooray. If not… well, at least there will still be After Dark features to entertain the hell outta us.
