The weekly installment of “Name That Remake!” brings us the news involving the remake of TROLL. According to BD, Phil Fondacaro will reprise his role as Professor Malcom Malory in the big budget remake of the 1986 cult-classic. John Carl Buechler, who wrote and directed the original film, had this to say about the casting: “While we are seeking many of the original cast for cameo roles, Phil has made this part uniquely his. For me, he is the only one who can play this character. I created this role for him in the original movie, and can see no one else playing it in the remake.”
So far only Noah Hathaway has been cast in the film. Hathaway also is an original cast member, as he played Turok the Wizard.
