Kind’ve lame news to report here, although I can’t dismiss it outright until I lay eyes on the final product: Film Ick is reporting that at least one-side of Aaron Eckhart’s face will be awash in CGI trickery, as apparently practical make-up isn’t good enough for Chris Nolan’s Harvey Dent/Two-Face.
F/X shop Framestore CFC is (once again, apparently) going to be f*cking up the unfortunate D.A.’s face with pixels and mouse-clicks, not latex and red food dye. Now, this isn’t to say there will be NO prosthetics applied to Mr. Eckhart’s mug, but it doesn’t surprise me in the least to discover this will be going down. The movie biz increasingly seems to be saying “If we can do it sitting down in front of a computer, why the f*ck should we stand up?!” (see the STAR WARS prequels. Actually, don’t bother…)
(Note: there is no irony whatsoever in the fact that I’m ripping on people who sit in front of a computer all day. None, I tell you!)
