Here’s a really innovative idea, coming from WIZARD OF GORE director Jeremy Kasten: Hire ten screenwriters – half seasoned pros, half inexperienced, but talented, novices – and have them all collaborate on ONE single screenplay. A screenplay called BLOOD BUBBLE BATH! Well, at least one of those guys should be able to come up with a new title…
Kasten told Fangoria: “The idea is to bring on 10 scripters—half of them very seasoned pros, the other half young, brilliant people who are doing really interesting things with the genre—and have them each write 10 pages, starting with the first writer, then moving to the second, so they’re all reading each other’s pages. The tone, hopefully, will shift dramatically every time; there’s no telling where each succeeding writer is going to take it. But we don’t want to make a film that just a collection of shorts; we want the protagonist to continue throughout it, or the antagonist or whatever.”
Kasten claims some of the names involved will shatter the earth when they’re announced, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see if someone like Robert Towne will put his name a thing called BLOOD BUBBLE BATH. To read more about this project, click it HERE.
