I have to write stories about remakes so often that I’ve pretty much run out of witty ways to write a lead to these stories – this business is a sick and repetitive animal, and the only way to keep your head above water is to drown yourself in booze, lot’s of it. So with that said, your weekly/daily/hourly Hollywood being lazy and remaking a mediocre film news is coming right your way! In case you didn’t hear, the 1978 horror film LONG WEEKEND is being remade, but the “news” involving the pic is that a date has been set for the pic to start filming, and the start date is…(drum roll)…October 9th.
LONG WEEKEND will be directed by URBAN LEGEND filmmaker Jamie Blanks. The film follows a couple’s vacation in the countryside that is plagued by strong events which suggest that nature is turning against humanity.
