Invasion posters; stills

It seems to me lately whenever a film that could
go either way in theatres is beginning to shape up to be a flop, we get a
bombardment of media from the flick to help boost the hype. Well I’m starting to
worry that this may be the case with the latest remake of

INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS
, THE INVASION, because it seems
that we’ve entered into one of those media bombardments.

To go with the new poster above which I scooped
up from
BD
, there are a slew of stills at the official
site
here
as well as over at
BD.
Nothing too exciting mind you, but just enough to make me worry that the film
may flop.

And as far as the new poster is concerned I have
to admit that I much preferred the

teaser poster
. The old one had a certain creepiness contained within,
shown in the desperation of the message scrawled on the wall. This new one seems
like the cover of a lame spy novel.

Anyways, make sure to check out some of the new
stills online, and say a little prayer to the film gods with me that THE
INVASION
will be somewhat palpable when it hits theatres August 17th.
