All the Finnish people in the house say ‘Hey!’
That’s right folks, we’ve got the poster for
DARK FLOORS; the first horror film produced in Finland and being made by
Finnish rock band LORDI. The poster can be seen above courtesy of
Fangoria, and no matter what I do, every time I
see this poster I’m constantly thinking of the band GWAR.
GWAR aside, DARK FLOORS seems like it
might actually be an enjoyable time. Written by and created for LORDI,
each band member will play their own on stage character in the flick. The film
is directed by Pete Riski and is about
a young girl and her father who get trapped in a
hospital invaded by monsters; the monsters being the members of Lordi.
These monsters will include
Mr. Lordi the Biomechanical Man, Amen the
Ancient Assassin (a mummy), Ox the Hell Bull, Awa the Vampire Countess, and Kita
the Alien Man Beast. (All seen below, but I have no idea whose who!)
Word has it that outside of the stage personae,
the flick won’t have much to do with LORDI‘s musical career. Meaning you
won’t have to be a LORDI connoisseur to appreciate DARK FLOORS . I
know we have quite an international reading base, so if any of you folks out
there know anything about LORDI, feel free to share by spitting some
bullets below.
