Who says the zombie genre is dead? No really, who says that, because everywhere I look there’s another mother-freakin’ zombie film with another zany twist to try and separate is from being “just another” zombie film.
Here we have MOTOCROSS ZOMBIES FROM HELL (I’ll be expecting MOTOCROSS ZOMBIES FROM HEAVEN to begin production soon). Here is the synopsis that Dread Central provides: “Up can coming motocross racer Cody is on the hottest winning streak of his short career… A streak that threatens to unseat the undefeated riders on “Team Skullz”. Little does Cody know that this team’s riders have an edge – they’re zombies! Cody, his tuner Tom, and friend Lori get more than they every bargained for when during the biggest motocross race of the season the zombies and their undead manager, Ivan, target them for elimination of the deadliest kind.”
I’m not exactly sure how being a zombie gives you an “edge” in motocross racing… I suppose it refers to the fact that you can crash into a rock or fly off a cliff and not die – but does immortality automatically make you a better motocross racer? And don’t people watch this sport HOPING they see horrible deaths?
Click it HERE to watch the trailer. Although you don’t really see many zombies, you do see A LOT of motocrossing (is that the correct term? Hell, they’re riding around on really loud bikes).
In fact, what it most resembles is the original THE HILLS HAVE EYES PART TWO where the protagonists were going to some dirt-bike rally and used their dirt-biking skills to thwart the evil cannibal family. Hopefully, our leads in MOTOCROSS ZOMBIES FROM HELL can do the same and avoid “elimination of the deadliest kind” – or at least settle for “elimination of the cute-and-cuddly kind.”
Now THAT’S a bike!
